Ekant babani – Founder & Creative Director
Ekant Babani, the founder of Alligator Media, has amassed 25 years of experience within the Indian film and media industry, marking a career characterized by both creative exploration and strategic leadership. Without a formal blueprint or industry connections at the outset, Ekant began his journey as an assistant director, financing his own short films through personal savings. One of his notable early works, Mudra, was recognized with the Best Digitally Shot Short Film award in 2005, setting the stage for his further exploration of film and television. Ekant’s transition into non-fiction content production saw him direct a range of adventurous and high-impact shows for prominent networks such as MTV, UTV Stars, and National Geographic. His expertise expanded into corporate and digital media, where he held key leadership roles, including as Fiction Head at Y&L (EndemolShine India), Programming Head at Travel XP, and Digital Media Head at Tangerine Digital Entertainment.
Building on his diverse experience and establishing a strong professional network, Ekant founded Alligator Media in 2012. Under his leadership, the company has seen significant growth, expanding its portfolio to include full-length feature films, web series, ad films, digital content, corporate videos, and documentaries. Ekant’s strategic vision and ability to build and sustain relationships have been central to Alligator Media’s evolution and success, earning the company a reputation for high-quality, multifaceted content production.
Farhan Sayed – Producer
Farhan’s career trajectory is a testament to his passion for film and media. Initially, he built a successful career in the BPO sector, but his love for films led him to take a bold step—leaving the corporate world behind to join Admit Two, a production house, as a second Assistant Director in the early 2000s. His early work spanned various formats, including ad films, short films, and corporate AVs, establishing him as a versatile professional in the industry.
As his career progressed, Farhan took on larger responsibilities, working on big-budget TV shows. Embracing the digital revolution, he transitioned into the digital media space, joining Tangerine Digital. There, he worked with prominent new media clients such as National Geographic, Entertainment Rights, Vringo, and Star TV, further expanding his expertise in digital content and production.
With over a decade of project management experience, Farhan now applies his skills at Alligator Media, where he excels in resource management and ensuring that client deadlines are met efficiently. His blend of creative insight and organizational acumen has made him a key figure in managing complex media projects.
Abhishek Modak – Cinematographer
With a strong foundation in cinematography and a background from Delhi University, Abhishek began his journey in the world of film and video production. He honed his craft working alongside the talented and National Award-winning Cinematographer, Rafey Mehmood, as an Assistant Cinematographer.
Transitioning into an independent cinematographer, Abhishek has contributed his creative vision to a wide range of projects, from documentaries and commercials to feature films, web series, short films, music videos, and non-fiction shows. Each project has deepened his passion for visual storytelling, allowing him to explore diverse genres and techniques.
A key aspect of his work has been the opportunity to collaborate with international directors and crews. These experiences have broadened his skills and perspective, enriching his ability to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the screen.

Prerna Shrimal Babani – Production Designer
Prerna’s career is a testament to her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. She began her professional journey by founding and running Inked Creative Solutions, a highly successful design unit that she co-helmed with her partner. Over the course of more than a decade, Inked became a trusted name, servicing a diverse range of clients, including major brands like SP Jain, Hyundai, Mazda, Hungama, After Shock, and Tata Sky. As an end-to-end design agency, Inked didn’t just focus on graphic and branding design but also expanded its offerings to include interior design when needed, showcasing Prerna’s versatility and attention to detail.
Seeking to broaden her horizons, Prerna made a significant career shift into Production Design with Alligator Media. Her transition into this new space allowed her to apply her unique creative vision to the world of film and television production. At Alligator Media, Prerna has taken production design to new heights, infusing every project with her distinctive style and innovation. Her contributions have played a key role in elevating the aesthetic quality and visual impact of the company’s diverse range of productions.
Ambar Vyas – Post Production Head
Ambar Vyas is an experienced professional in the post-production industry, with a career spanning nearly two decades. He began as an Associate Editor at Balaji Telefilms in 2005 and steadily advanced in his career. His technical expertise grew when he became the Technical Head at Digital Efx, later contributing to the establishment of professional post-production setups for companies such as Phase One Productions and Tangerine Digital Entertainment, where he also headed the Post Division.
Driven by a desire to explore his creative side, Ambar transitioned into editing roles, working on shows like Shaadi 3 Crore Ki, Rahul Ka Swyamvar, and Desi Girls for NDTV Imagine as a Senior Editor. His versatility is showcased in his work on feature films as well, including editing Soundtrack (directed by Neerav Ghosh) and City of Dreams.
Ambar’s career highlights his ability to manage high-pressure environments, whether setting up post-production units or editing TV shows on tight deadlines. His blend of technical proficiency and creative talent makes him a prominent figure in the Indian post-production industry.
Shreyes Lowlekar – Content Head
Shreyes Lowlekar is a seasoned storyteller with over 15 years of experience spanning advertising, television, web, and films. Renowned for his versatility, he excels in crafting narratives across diverse genres, including slapstick comedy, pulp drama, romance, smut, historical epics, and fantasy. With a deep understanding of audience dynamics, Shreyes creates stories that resonate, blending entertainment with meaningful impact. A skilled narrator and voice artist, he has elevated numerous projects with his compelling delivery, transforming content into immersive experiences. Whether developing intricate characters, crafting strategic ideas, or bringing scripts to life, Shreyes Lowlekar is a creative visionary known for pushing boundaries and redefining storytelling.
